During the District Program Implementation Committee meeting held in the Vikas Bhavan auditorium on Thursday, Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms Department and Minister in charge of the district, Dilip Jaiswal, reviewed 20 departments for about five hours.
He said that the remaining departments will be done after 15 days. After the meeting, he said that the condition of the health, education and PHED departments in the district is very poor. He said that most of the medicines expire in Saharsa. It has come to light that the specialist doctors of various departments posted in Sadar Hospital, especially the ortho specialists, do not perform any kind of surgery.
He said that this is a matter of great shame. The minister directed the civil surgeon to seek explanation from the ortho specialist. He also said that he will inspect the medicine store of the health department next time. The minister said that the report submitted by the DEO of the education department in the meeting is quite worrying. Due to which, during his review, he was sent out in the middle of the meeting with the executive engineer of his department, instructing him to come to the next meeting with the executive engineer of his department.
Apart from this, in the review of PHED department, the departmental officers talked about 100% water supply in the urban area. The Mayor of the Municipal Corporation, Bain Priya, who was present there, objected that this claim is wrong and the departmental officers have been directed to supply pure drinking water in the urban area within a month. If this is not done within a month, action will be taken.
The survey work will be completed soon
The minister said that the survey work in the state will be completed soon. He said that at present the survey work is going on in 16 districts. After its completion, people will be able to see all the information about their land in one click. This will reduce land disputes by 90 percent. He said that at present 60 percent of the disputes in the police station are related to land disputes and 25 percent civil suits are going on. He said that the land survey was done for the first time in 1890 AD. After a hundred years, it started again in 1990 AD. It was not completed in thirty years. He is proud that it will be completed during his tenure as minister.
